OUR STORY

What began as a small gathering of four friends seeking to grow in prayer and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ has grown into something far beyond what we ever imagined for our community. War Room was first formed in a living room—a space rooted in a shared desire to pursue God and grow in prayer. As we drew closer to the Lord, He entrusted us with a vision for how He desired to move in Yuma.

Today, War Room is a place where both believers and those exploring faith, from all walks of life, are welcomed to encounter restoration and transformation made possible through the work of the Holy Spirit. We are not a replacement for the local church; rather, our mission is to equip and disciple the church, empowering believers to carry the fire of God throughout our community.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

  • War room exists to disciple and equip believers for God’s outpouring in these last days. We are calling a generation to consecrate themselves through prayer, humility, and repentance, following the call of 2 Chronicles 7:14.


    ”If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

  • Our vision is to prepare the way for the Lord by calling a generation to repentance and consecration. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we seek to see Yuma transformed as believers unite in prayer, pursue holiness, and become the spotless bride of Christ.

  • War Room was founded in August 2023 as a prayer group with the desire to grow closer as friends and in our faith. Though our leadership team came from different churches, we were united by our love of Christ. Through the revelation of the Holy Spirit, we quickly realized that God was calling us to a greater purpose—to prepare the way for the Lord in Yuma, just as John the Baptist did for Christ’s first coming. Over the past couple of years, we have been refined and consecrated by the fire of the Holy Spirit, equipping us to call a generation to repentance and revival. Our goal is to present the Lord with a spotless bride, and we invite others to join us in this divine assignment.

Our COVERING

Just as Paul instructed the church in 1 Corinthians 14, we believe that everything in War Room must be done decently and in order, following the example of Heaven. For this reason, before going public, we sought the spiritual covering and counsel of trusted pastors and leaders throughout our community. Their role is to hold us accountable, mentor us along the way, and cover us in prayer.

Our coverings include, but are not limited to, Vertical Church and Naos Church.
